The Joint Peace Group Panel

Approximately 30 participants from peace organizations in Korea and the United States gathered for a joint peace group panel to share major campaigns, strategies, and international solidarity efforts. The Korean American Peace Fund (KAPF) participated as one of the presenters, highlighting its key peace initiatives and global peace advocacy work in 2025.

KAPF featured its support for the U.S. visit of Korean atomic bomb survivors, during which survivors shared their long-overlooked experiences of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. KAPF contributed $3,000 in financial support and hosted a community forum to advance historical recognition, education, and justice. KAPF also introduced its partnership with People Opening Peace and Unification (평화와 통일을 여는 사람들) for the International People’s Tribunal on Atomic Bombs – New York Visit, for which KAPF committed $5,000 in support for 2026 to strengthen international accountability efforts.

In addition, KAPF reported on its contribution of $10,000 to Grassroots International’s Palestine Emergency Fund, underscoring its commitment to international peace and humanitarian solidarity. The presentation concluded with an overview of the Times Square Peace Ad Campaign, a large-scale public education and advocacy initiative that generated over 250,000 social media views and included direct outreach to all 535 U.S. legislators and 300 members of the South Korean National Assembly, amplifying calls for peace and global responsibility.
