On Monday, February 24th, a screening of the Fukushima Disaster Documentary will be held both online and offline at the Korean American Peace Fund office.

Korean American Peace Fund (KAPF), Korea Peace Now Grassroots Network (KPNGN), and Korea Peace Action co-hosted an online forum. The topic was "The Impeachment Crisis and Trump 2.0."

The Korean American Peace Fund will host an online forum, "For a World Without Nuclear Weapons," featuring members of the Korean Non-Nuclear Peace Citizens' Alliance, who will visit the United States this February and March. The forum will include Rev. Dae-Soo Lee, representative of the Asia Peace Citizens’ Network, who will lead the delegation across the U.S., and Tae-Je Lee, president of the Korean Atomic Bomb Victims’ Descendants Association.

Congratulations to the Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organizations (NIHON HIDANKYO) on being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize today in Oslo, Norway. We believe that this is the fruit of the voices and activities of the NIHON HIDANKYO’s victims, who have been testifying to the suffering of the victims of the atomic bombings and working for a global community free of nuclear weapons.

The Korean American Peace Fund recently organized a Korea Peace Forum, bringing together 34 participants to discuss the future of U.S.-Korea relations, particularly in the context of a potential second term for former U.S. President Donald Trump. The forum delved into key issues such as denuclearization, military alliances, economic sanctions, and their potential impact on peace in the region. Attendees, including experts and community advocates, explored strategies to promote diplomacy and advance initiatives like the Korean Peninsula Peace Act. The event fostered a dynamic exchange of ideas, reinforcing the importance of grassroots advocacy in addressing the ongoing effects of the unfinished Korean War. 

KAPF organized a community lecture featuring Father Ham Sae Woong, a respected leader and advocate for Korean democracy and peace. Known for his impactful work, Father Ham has held leadership positions across various organizations, including serving as the former board chair of the Korean Democracy Movement Foundation. His insights and long-standing dedication to social justice, democracy, and peace-building made this event a valuable experience for community members.

Korean American Peace Fund held a workshop titled ‘Justice for Korean Atomic Bomb Victims’ at the Veterans for Peace (VFP) National Convention held online on Friday, August 16th under the theme of ‘Korean American Community and the Anti-War and Anti-Nuclear Movement’. On this day, six preparatory committee members for the ‘2026 Korean People’s Tribunal for Atomic Bomb Victims’ came forward and requested participation in the people’s court.
